The agreement, which was reached after intense talks with Egypt, Qatar and the United States, promises a six-week pause in fighting. It would free 33 hostages of the total of 98 Hamas captives, focusing primarily on women, children, the elderly and sick prisoners. In exchange, almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners would be released.
