When is the deadline?
The deadline actually falls Monday February 3, 2025. The English window closes at 11pm UK time.
When does the winter window close in Europe?
The window for most major European leagues, including France (13:00 GMT), Germany, Scotland and Spain, also closes on Monday, February 3, 2025 although times vary.
The Italian clubs, for their part, only have until 7:00 p.m. Saturday February 1 to do their business and the transfer window in Türkiye closes on Tuesday February 11, 2025.
Further afield, the window closes in Saudi Arabia January 30.
What’s happening in the WSL?
The winter window for the Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship clubs opens on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 and closes at 11pm Thursday January 30, 2025.

Can clubs sign players outside the transfer market?
Transfers are usually announced outside the transfer window, but a player will not be able to register to play for his new team until the window opens.
What about free agents?
Free agents can sign for a team at any time, since they are not contracted by another club.
