Roborock just dropped the microphone on the robot vacuum market at CES 2025 with the launch of the Saros Z70 robotic vacuum cleaner, which features a mechanical arm to remove obstacles in its path. The company also launched two new robot vacuum cleaners, the Saros 10 and the Saros 10R.
The Saros Z70 features a folding mechanical arm with OmniGrip technology that deploys to remove obstacles less than 300 grams or approximately 8 oz. The five-axis arm will initially be limited to socks, small towels or cloths, tissues or napkins, and sandals.
Plus: This robotic vacuum and mop works as well as some flagship models, but at half the price
The Roborock Saros Z70 cleans your floors and identifies the objects it can lift in a first pass. The robot then returns to pick up the identified items, put them away, and clean any missed areas.
The new Roborock Saros Z70 is here to finally solve a problem that many robot vacuum users face: picking up every last sock or small toy off the floor before using the vacuum. We do this to prevent the robotic vacuum from getting stuck in its rotating brush, leaving it idle until you rescue it. This is one of the most annoying things about a robotic vacuum cleaner, especially when you turn it on while you’re away from home and return to find dirty floors and your robot stuck a few feet from where it started cleaning hours ago.
The OmniGrip arm features precision sensors, a camera and an LED light to detect and process visible information about obstacles in its path.

The robotic arm vacuum cleaner will become Roborock’s latest flagship, replacing the Roborock S8 MaxV Pro Ultra. The feature will be disabled at the factory, so you’ll need to enable it in the Roborock app during setup. You can also customize the arm’s behavior, including designating where objects should be placed when you pick them up. During a demo with Roborock, this used to be a basket on the ground.
As safety measures, the vacuum cleaner has a child lock, a safety stop button and measures to prevent the mechanical arm from deploying when locked.
According to Roborock, the Saros Z70 robotic vacuum cleaner and mop features 22,000 Pa suction, making it the industry leader in suction. The Z70, scheduled to launch in the first half of 2025, features Roborock’s twin anti-tangle system, with a FreeFlow main brush and a FlexiArm Riser side brush to prevent hair from tangling around the vacuum.
Plus: The robotic vacuum cleaner that kept my floors free of muddy footprints this fall is $600 off
The double spin mops lift up to 22mm to mop, enough to keep even medium pile carpets dry during vacuuming and mopping sessions. The mops can automatically detach at the dock when the robotic is instructed to vacuum carpets before vacuuming and mopping hard floors, such as the Dreame X40 Ultra.
Roborock is also launching the Saros 10 and Saros 10R, two new robot vacuums without a mechanical arm but with many of the S70’s iconic features. The Saros 10 features a retractable Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) that can be stowed away to get under low clearance areas, such as under furniture, without getting stuck.
The Saros 10 can detect obstacles in its path, including cables spread out on the ground; It also features 22,000 Pa of industry-leading suction, Matter support, and Roborock’s VibraRise mopping technology. The Saros 10 will be available this month and can be purchased with RockDock Extremely 2.0, which features a tempered glass finish, easier access to the bin and tanks, hot water mop washing, automatic mop removal and a quick charge of 2.5 hours.
Plus: iRobot’s latest flagship, Roomba, is on sale for 29% off
The Roborock Saros 10R robotic vacuum cleaner and mop does not feature the retractable LDS, but instead features an ultra-slim 3.14-inch design that easily fits under low furniture. The Saros 10R will be available later in 2025 and can be purchased with the Multifunctional Dock 4.0, with hot water mop wash, automatic mop extraction and 2.5-hour quick charge.
