Grasp P shares message of hope to New Orleans after ‘senseless’ terrorist attack: ‘We will prevail’

After a deadly terrorist attack rocks New Orleans, a rap legend offers a message of hope for the Louisiana city.

“We are not going to allow this senseless terrorist act to stop us from being who we are as a culture and as a people. And we are going to stand up together and fight and show them that this is America and we will prevail.” “New Orleans entertainment ambassador Percy “Grasp P” Miller said on “One Nation” on Saturday. “We have resilience when you talk about the city of New Orleans, and we are going to bounce back.”

At least 14 people were killed and dozens injured after a driver plowed his car into a large crowd at Canal and Bourbon Road in New Orleans early on New Year’s Day.

The driver, 42 years old. Shamsud-Din JabbarAmerican citizen from Texas and Army veteran, died after a shootout with officers.

Since the incident early Wednesday morning, New Orleans has seen an outpouring of support from across the country.

president biden and first lady Jill Biden are scheduled to travel to New Orleans on Monday, where they will “grieve with families and community members affected by the tragic January 1 attack and meet with officials on the ground,” according to the White House.

Master P extended his gratitude to those who have been praying for our city.

“Also to the people who lost their loved ones in this tragedy that should never have happened in our city, we definitely want to show them that with the mayor and I going out, walking the streets of Bourbon Road, we have not done that and We are going to be stronger and better,” he said.
