We are just beginning our rounds in the TV schedule 2025But I already have bad news for those of you who are watching. The hit CBS drama Matlock. Sadly, we still have to wait a bit until the first case of the year sees Kathy Bates’ legal double agent return to our screens. However, we do We know when we’ll be back in the Jacobson & Moore offices, and with that news comes some hope that I think other fans will share in their hearts as we wait.
When will Matlock return in 2025
The first episode after matlock end of autumn 2024 will air on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Scheduled in its regular time slot at 9 pm ET, episode 1×09 – “Pals” – we hope will give us a little more information about that surprising cliffhanger that saw Olympia ( Skye P. Marshall) confronts Julian (Jason Ritter) about that explosive revelation he made in Episode 1×08. As for “Pals,” here’s what the official synopsis tells us about what to expect:
Matty helps Olympia handle Elijah’s cousin’s wrongful termination case. Additionally, Edwin worries that the longer Matty stays at Jacobson Moore, the more danger she will be of being caught.
So just from the title of the episode and the fact that Concerns about Matty’s career after Welbrexa They’re not going to separate her from her boss anytime soon, I have a feeling that Matlock could be taking a pretty big turn on the personal front. Olympia’s early-season sympathy angle It’s starting to pay off and I think we’ll finally get to see the women become friends.
That’s also what probably makes her husband and accomplice Edwin (Sam Anderson) so nervous. New friends mean new stories that are accompanied by old lies that were not meant to withstand intense scrutiny. And if you thought Kathy Bates Matlock Christmas performance was award-worthy, I could only imagine what kind of firepower she and Skye P. Marshall would put into a potential scene where Olympia discovers the truth about Matty’s current game.
What I most want to see in Matlock’s return in 2025
While these gaps between episodes are absolutely devastating, there are positives every time they happen. Not only is there more time for new Matlock Viewers can catch up on what they missed, but I have more time to try to decide what I want to happen next. And “Pals” seems to be starting the year off well for Ms. Kingston’s double life.
Obviously, the possible friendship between Maddy and Olympia is something I’m excited to see in the making. Also, I really need to know what happened to Billy (David Del Rio) after the crushing rejection of his proposal in Episode 1×07. And of course, I want to know more about the seemingly “dead end” Welbrexa email in which Madeline Kingston discovered Julian’s affair… and the photo of a mystery woman who doesn’t seem like much right now.
That revelation sounds like an enigma hidden in plain sight, since Matlock It’s not the kind of series that leaves breadcrumbs for no reason. My patience will be tested between now and the end of the month, when the next episode premieres on CBS on Thursday, January 30 at 9 pm ET.
