Dodge is trying to meet with the competition of the Nascar truck series already in 2026, Athletic reported.

The manufacturer has submitted documents to obtain Nascar’s approval to enter the series through its RAM brand of trucks, according to the report, published on Saturday. The Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota trucks are already running in the circuit.

The application is in review. To return to the track in 2026, approval would be needed in the coming months to give Dodge time to adjust the truck for races.

Nascar refused to comment on athletics, who said Dodge Vehicles ran in the truck series from 1995 to 2016, with three manufacturers championships and two driver championships in that period.

Dodges also previously ran in the Cup series and could return later this decade after an entry of the truck series, according to Atlético.
