I have seen so many horror movies, it is ridiculous.
In fact, when our list of The 50 best horror movies of all timeI really had to mentally review the horror movies that I No seen, and there were only two (which would be Be quietAND Gerald gamethat I have not yet seen for some reason).
However, despite the fact that horror is my favorite movie genre, there are actually some horror movies that even Soy Too scared to look. And that is just because what In fact It scares us is purely private. So while I You can watch Slasher movies All day live and not lose a little sleep, these next five films have concepts that are so spooky me I don’t have the courage to see them. Don’t laugh!
Smile (2022)
I’m going to tell you a funny story. I have seen several long -term films that made me sleep with the lights on. That said, I have only seen a commercial in my whole life that kept me awake all night, and that was for the horror movie, Smilethat I would probably not have seen anyway, since I do not like the disturbing faces (and, in case you are asking you, it was The pendulum head scene That persecuted me).
I think everything goes back to my childhood when I saw Twilight Zone: The Filmthat ironically presented a character who could not smile because she I had no mouth.
The segment in Twilight Zone: The Film that was scared wine from an adaptation of one of The best episodes of the program“It’s a good life.” The episode itself is a disconcerting half an hour, without a doubt, but there is no mouth scene of the film traumatized Me when journal child.
So, since then, I can’t look at a face that is even slightly off, much less a full film with that concept.
What really stinks, since I have heard so many good things about Smile (and even better things about his sequel). Many people call it one of the best horror franchises that we currently have. And, like someone who loves A good horror franchiseBelieve me when I say this, but it hurts me physically that I can’t increase courage to see Smile. But, here is the thing. I made a new year resolution to sleep more in 2025, and I can’t spend a whole week without closing my eyes at night. I just can’t. So, I’m quite sure I will never see what I like to call disturbing faces: the movie. It’s just …*chills*.
Goodnight Mommy (2014)
I will tell you that. The only time I have cursed audibly in a movie theater was when I first saw. The trailer to Good night mommyTo which I definitely told the tastes of “Oh, f– this!” And I covered my eyes with my hands.
And I am No joking I, the boy who has seen all the movies in it Hallowe’en, A nightmare on Elm StreetAND Friday 13 Series, he literally covered his eyes like a small child in the cinema. So, of course, my friends made fun of me.
But, I don’t care! Good night mommyThat apparently (I say “apparently” since, again, I never saw it) it is about two children who suspect that their mother may not be what it seems, it is another movie “I can’t”, like Smile.
First, he has the whole thing of the “perpetual smile” that is keeping me away from it. But, another unpleasant thing for me is the whole plot of wrong identity, which scares me. Especially when it comes to children who question if the woman’s wife is actually her mother.
However, since I am interested in the movie, since it scared me so thoroughly with the trailer, I read some of YouTube’s comments, and many people said it is more “tense” than scary. I will only have to take your word, although since I am No Seeing this movie. Maybe check the 2022 remake with Naomi Watts, as it might not be so scary. Ah, and speaking of remakes with Naomi Watts …
Funny Games (2007)
Have you ever seen? Purge cinema? I like, for the most part, but I often believe that the first film, which was more or less an invasion movie of the house, is probably the most effective.
And that is because the concept of people who come to my house to kill me is very current that I do not take lightly.
So the concept behind Funny gamesThat these are some types that take an acquaINted hostage and make them participate in “fun games” if they want to live, it does not seem something that I want to see a Saturday afternoon … or any afternoon.
The 2007 film is actually a new version of the 1997 film, and both were directed by Michael Haneke. And although I know that both films are labeled as “satirical psychological thrillers”, I can’t find the fun concept.
In fact, the most realistic horror generally drives me crazy. As, I have really seen The strangerswhich has a kind of comparable premise. But, for some reason (perhaps it is the obvious masks of horror movies), it really doesn’t scare me. However, some random psychopaths who look perfectly normal but who really want to beg me for my life? … that puts me chicken skin.
So, I’ve never seen the remake or unique, and I will never do it.
The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009)
The strange faces, the wrong identities and the invasions of the house bother me in the form of a film. But do you want to know what scares me in today’s life? Centípedos. I hate, I hate, I hate those disgusting things!
I know that I mentioned it once in one of my articles on this site, but my fear comes from an incident that happened when younger periods (like most fears originated, of course). My sister and I used to share a bed, and I woke up one morning to find a centipede In his mouth While she slept! So, I am sure that you can sympathize with why spiders do not scare me, but centuries really horrify me.
I mean, I don’t even like the word centipede. I know that it only means one hundred legs, but even writing it and looking at the word makes me twist. So, the concept that people are sewn to the mouth (and drag on their hands and knees) is too much for me.
And, it is not as if the horror of the body would bother me, such as David Cronenburg, the king of the subgenre,It is one of my favorite directors.
That said, I know that there are two more films in the series, and in each movie, the current “human centipede” becomes bigger, bigger and bigger, and I can’t take that concept.
A story of Dos Hermanas (2003)
Finally, I’m cheating with this because I’ve really seen A story of two sisters… well, more or less.
You see, I started the movie, but there is a scene that was so Fearing that I really asked my friend if we could turn it off, and he agreed that we could, because he was also terrified. In fact, my exact words were: “I am afraid,” and he replied: “I’m also scared.”
Of course, we saw this movie in broad daylight in your living room. And to this day, A story of two sisters It is still the only movie I’ve begun that I have never finished. Even after watching that scene again, I just don’t have my heart to see the rest of the movie.
Of what I Those Look, history is two sisters (one of whom recently left a psychological institution), who go to their new home, only to deal with their new stepmother, which might not be right there.
Asian horror already cooled to the bone (Especially South Korean horror like The groan)But for me to leave a movie completely because I am literally too scared to watch another second? Well, that’s something that only A story of two sisters He has ever done it for me.
But what about you? Have there ever there has been a fear movie that have I never ended?
