“I appreciate the Chery Tiggo team. It was an exciting match,” said coach Koji Tsuzurabara. “In the first and second sets, my team did not communicate well. But the two in the middle, Pleasure (Dacoron) and ranya (Musa) are the initial members of the three groups. So, they could change the atmosphere. “They had a good performance.”

“The players had stronger communication and that resulted in a victory. I appreciate today’s players… Everyone should improve today,” added the Japanese mentor.

Chery Tiggo looked like she would have an easy victory before a sudden fight from Petro Gazz in the third frame from an 18-10 deficit when Maizo-Pontillas heated up to shift the momentum to the Angels.

After a back-and-forth start to the fourth frame, Petro Gazz went on a 10-0 run to tie the game at two units apiece. Pablo gave the Angels a five-point lead in the deciding quarter when a 5-2 run capped by an anticlimactic Ara Galang service error ended the matter.

Cza Carandang led the Crossovers with 13 points, while Pauline Gaston and Jas Nabor, who played as attackers at one point, added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Nabor also distributed 14 excellent units.

Jennifer Nierva finished with 21 excellent units and 12 excellent receptions and Cess Robles with 12 excellent attacks in addition to eight points while Chery Tiggo, who has not yet suited up for the new Risa Sato, fell to a 4-3 record.
