Kansas State All-American forward Ayoka Lee will be sidelined indefinitely with a broken foot, the school announced Monday.
Lee was injured during the second quarter of Sunday’s 81-69 victory over Arizona State.
X-rays taken on Sunday and an MRI performed on Monday confirmed the fracture. The next few weeks will determine whether or not Lee will return before the end of the general season.
Lee is averaging 16.0 points and 6.3 rebounds and has 41 blocked shots in 18 games this season for the No. 10 Wildcats (19-1, 7-0). She is shooting 65.4 percent from the field, the best mark of her career.
Lee holds school records for points (2,482), rebounds (1,231), blocked shots (351) and field goals made (1,009). He ranks sixth on the all-time Big 12 scoring list.
Lee set the NCAA record for points in a game when he scored 61 against Oklahoma on January 23, 2022. He averaged a career-high 22.0 points for that season and was a second-team All-American.
Lee missed the 2022-23 season due to a knee injury before bouncing back last season to average 19.7 points and 8.6 rebounds.
