An elderly woman was taken to hospital after a house fire in Antrim in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police received a report that a property in Rathglynn was set on fire at around 03:20 GMT.
The woman, in her 70s, was inside the property at the time of the incident. She was taken to hospital for treatment for burns to her hands and smoke inhalation following the incident.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said: “The property suffered significant damage and the incident is currently being treated as arson.”
A woman, aged in her 40s, was treated for smoke inhalation and hand injuries while attempting to free the woman from the property.
A man, aged in his 40s, was also treated for smoke inhalation while attempting to provide assistance.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service took charge of the fire.
