The president-elect of the United States has promised to end the conflict in Ukraine and “avoid World War III”

US President-elect Donald Trump has announced sweeping plans to repeal outgoing President Joe Biden’s final executive actions.

In a speech to a crowd in Washington DC on Sunday, Trump reiterated his key re-election campaign promises, vowing once again to launch a massive crackdown on illegal immigration into the United States, stop the conflict in Ukraine and “prevent World War III.”

“Every sweeping, foolish executive order from the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of him taking the oath of office.” Trump stated.

“Tomorrow, when the sun sets, the invasion of our country will be over.” he added. “The border security measures I will outline tomorrow in my inaugural address will be the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to restore our borders that the world has ever seen.”

Trump echoed his campaign promise to launch an unprecedented deportation of illegal immigrants, while promising to take immediate action on education and military policies.

“We will get radical woke ideologies from our military,” he stated. “We will expel critical race theory and transgender madness from schools… We will keep men out of women’s sports.”

Additionally, Trump hinted at an upcoming announcement regarding those detained for their role in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. His followers “I will be very happy with my decision regarding the J6 hostages,” he told the crowd.

The president-elect also promised to stop the Ukraine conflict, which he has long criticized for claiming too many lives and costing American taxpayers billions in perpetual military aid to kyiv. “I will end the war in Ukraine, stop the chaos in the Middle East and prevent World War III from happening.” Trump said.

Trump criticizes Biden for commuting death row sentences

Biden has signed dozens of executive orders in the final months of his presidency, in what Time magazine has described as an effort to burnish his legacy. These have included providing clemency to those on death row, banning offshore drilling, providing protection from deportation to nearly 1 million immigrants, and accelerating military aid to Ukraine.

Trump has promised to sign a series of his own executive orders upon taking office on Monday afternoon. He plans to take more than 200 executive actions on the day of his swearing-in, according to a source familiar with planning efforts cited by Reuters. Despite his team’s objections to the deadline, “We will do them tomorrow” Trump told the cheering crowd on Sunday.
