Melania Trump and Usha Vance accompanied their husbands to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the cemetery where Donald Trump participated in a wreath-laying ceremony. Dressed in black and white, Melania Trump and Usha Vance projected a contrasting image at the event.
Melania Trump is around 5 feet 9 inches tall, while Usha Vance is between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. Both women wore heels at the event.
From Arlington National Cemetery, Usha Vance turned heads when she chose to wear an Oscar de la Renta couture gown to the vice president’s banquet.
JD Vance received a special message from India ahead of the inauguration ceremony when Usha Vance’s great-aunt, Professor C Santhamma, congratulated them both on their new positions. “We are related to Usha (Vance) through marital relationships… We feel extremely happy… We congratulate you both for having had a very, very happy handling of the destiny of the country and your country’s relationship with our country and we feel very happy for the same and I wish her a very long life and a happy and happy stay,” said Usha’s great aunt.
Usha Vance is the daughter of Indian immigrants who trace their roots to Andhra Pradesh. Born and raised in the United States, Usha completed her education at prestigious institutions such as Cambridge and Yale University. He met JD Vance during his studies at Yale Law School.
JD Vance in his best-selling memoir Hillbilly Elegy described his experience meeting Usha’s parents and how there was no drama. “I was surprised by the lack of drama. Usha’s mother did not complain about her father behind his back. There were no angry exchanges or back and forth arguments. Usha’s parents seem to genuinely like each other and spoke about their family members with love,” JD wrote.
