The Labor Party has apologized for using a soundtrack with “completely inappropriate” lyrics in a TikTok promotional video.
The video features AI-generated animals, including a hare dressed as a nurse, a bulldog in a police uniform, and a hedgehog in dungarees.
But the party removed the video when viewers quickly translated the Portuguese lyrics to DJ Holland’s backing track, which describes smoking marijuana and having sex with a “bitch.”
Montagem Coral’s lyrics urge a “naughty young woman” to “sit” on the singer’s “marijuana-crazed cock” and end with the repetition of the phrase: “Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy.”
“The perfect combination is sex, beer and marijuana,” sings DJ Holland, whose real name is Lucas Holland. “Young girls are addicts.”
A Labor spokesperson said: “This post is adapted from a viral social media trend and contains a mash-up of two music tracks. We recognize that the translation of the lyrics is completely inappropriate. “We apologize and the video has already been removed.”
The video was released as Keir Starmer attempted to defend himself against criticism from the likes of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, and Conservative and Reform MPs over the government’s response to the grooming gang scandal. The prime minister responded to those who “spread lies and misinformation” about gangs.
Alicia Kearns, Conservative MP for Rutland and Stamford, questioned the choice of music and challenged Yvette Cooper, the Inside minister, in a post about Musk’s X.
“Do you think it is acceptable, Yvette Cooper, for your party to release videos with lyrics that encourage men to drug young girls so they can have sex with them and celebrate punching girls’ vaginas? So much for telling us that we will feel safer if you are in charge,” he wrote.
