THIS is the little girl who drew a harrowing drawing of her father hanging in front of her eyes after he was sentenced to death.

The desperately sad pencil drawing was drawn by six-year-old Mahna Ahmadi from Iran of her father Hamed being hanged as she and her mother watched.

She made the drawing while waiting to see him for the last time.

In the scene, Mahna and her mother hold hands. next to a gallows under which his father is standing on a block.

The image, shared with The Solar by National Council of Resistance of Iran (CNRI), shows the devastating human cost of families torn apart by Iranian leader Ali Khmamenei’s killing machine in his bloodiest year yet.

The heartbreaking image was mentioned in a heartbreaking letter of a political prisoner named Saeed Masouri who has spent 25 years on death row in Iran.

He pleaded with the international community and wrote about the psychological torture that more than two decades on death row had inflicted on him.

His emotional letter was smuggled out of the notorious Ghezel Hesar prison in Iran and shared with The Solar.

“I do not know what else my eyes will see or what more burdens and pains this heart will have to endure,” Saeed wrote in an open letter to the UN.

“From the moment I was sentenced to death and placed in solitary confinement, considering every encounter as my last and every ‘opening and closing’ sound of the door as a death sentence (even after 25 years, every sound due to psychological problems) (conditioning still triggers the same feeling), to witnessing up close the executions of dear friends and comrades: I don’t know how much more I have to see and endure.

“I really don’t know…

“I still cannot understand how, after seeing the child’s drawing of Mahna, a six-year-old girl, who drew herself and her mother next to her father’s gallows at the gates of Gohardasht prison while waiting for her last I meet and kiss the arm of his father’s face (when receiving his body), my heart has not yet stopped from these penetrating and agonizing beats…!!?

Letter from Iranian political prisoner Saeed Masouri

“Currently, we attend an execution every four hours on average.

“During this Christmas period alone, almost 25 innocent people were executed, which equates to almost one execution every 2.5 hours.

“Do not take the number of executions simply as numbers; “These are human lives that are lost every day.”

Last year, the Iranian regime sharply increased the rate of executions of its own people, including women, children and political prisoners.

Official records show that more than 1,000 prisoners were executed in 2024, but the NCRI warns that the current figure is likely to be much higher as many of the deaths are kept secret.

On New Year’s Day alone, at least 12 people were hanged in prisons across the country.

Most of the increasing executions are by hanging, but there is also evidence of other medieval torture punishments, such as public flogging, amputation of limbs, and gouging out eyes.

Almost half of the executed prisoners were hanged in the last quarter of the year.

The NCRI says this pattern shows that the action is directly linked to political events, crises and regime defeats.

Towards the end of 2024, the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies faced serious defeats in the region from Israel, including the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Behzad Naziri, a former political prisoner of the regime who managed to escape from one of Iran’s most famous prisons, told The Solar that the “unprecedented increase” in executions is a “sign of the weakness of a regime about to be overthrown.” “.

Naziri, a member of the NCRI foreign committee, whose own sister was executed, said: “The unprecedented number of executions indicates that the regime is becoming increasingly
paranoid.

“These actions are a desperate attempt by Khamenei to suppress any dissent and maintain control amid growing unrest and demands for regime change.

“We must keep in mind that this regime has maintained its control over
power through repression and executions in the country, and terrorism and warmongering abroad, mainly through its representatives.

“Being the world record holder for the number of executions per capita is not a sign of strength; indicates an inability to quell dissent despite their brutal behavior.

“Therefore, the unprecedented increase in executions, as with all dictators, shows that this regime is also on its last leg and does not see future for his government in the face of growing opposition.

“The inhumane murder of its population under any pretext is just a sign of the weakness of a regime about to be overthrown.”

Of the 1,000 executions declared in 2024, 34 were women and seven were under 18 years old at the time of the crime.

According to the NCRI, more than half of the executions were for drug-related convictions.
