It’s easy to think of Ryan Gosling as a comedic genius, but the guy has a lot of underrated talents and titles. although he movie schedule 2025 considers his only credit to come from the executive producer of the eventual successor to Gosling’s deceased werewolf projectThere are many hidden gems that fans can explore through the stream. Which is news that gets even better, as one of my favorites is headed to Amazon Prime and co-stars George Clooney… and a ridiculous list of talent.

If there is a Ryan Gosling movie I won’t keep quiet about it’s not named Blade Runner 2049It’s 2011 The Ides of March, which is now available to stream via a Prime Video Subscription. Co-adapted and directed by Clooney, the political thriller follows Stephen Meyers (Ryan Gosling), an up-and-coming star in Pennsylvania Governor Mike Morris’ (George Clooney) presidential campaign.

Stephen, an idealistic young man, is a true believer in the cause. However, as would be expected from a unique material written and co-adapted by house of cards creator Beau Willimon, a network of intrigue begins to challenge those ideals. The more complicated things get, for the Morris campaign, the more people there will be who will try to clean things up or expose those deals to the light of day.

The support bench in The Ides of March is something I still look at in awe, as Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Jeffrey Wright, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Evan Rachel Wooden are all on the list. While that’s not the entire number of participants in this all-star cast, these are several of the high-profile talents Ryan Gosling has to navigate in the name of political survival.
