The Titans desperately need a quarterback, but Chris Johnson is advising his former team to still take travis hunter in the spring NFL Draft – eye-opening sports Tennessee would be an “absolute fool” to pass up the Heisman Trophy winner.
If the season ended today, the Titans (3-13) would have the normal No. 2 pick… and many experts believe they should target a signal-caller like Shedeur Sanders oh chamber room there, as their quarterback play has been horrible this year.
But Johnson thinks it would be a big mistake to lose Hunter for one of the young arms… explaining to us that he thinks Colorado’s two-way star could change everything for his former team.
“I think we’d be complete fools to let Travis pass,” he said.
A big reason Johnson likes the move is that he’s a fan of Will Levis.
CJ2K says that even though the former second-round pick is just 5-15 as a starter and only 20 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions… he can be an effective leader at some point in the near future.
“I think Will will end up being a quarterback,” the former running back said. “Sometimes it takes time. You look at some of these quarterbacks like Jordan Love and some of these other guys: They had time to sit down and learn. Like years to sit and learn. So I feel like he’s going to get his.”
Of course, the Titans may not even have a chance against Hunter or a top QB, as a win over the Houston Texans later on Sunday could significantly drop them down the order.
On the other hand, a loss could drop them to the No. 1 pick, where Johnson would love to see Travis taken.
