THIS is the moment a man is cornered by SWAT officers outside the Texas home of the New Orleans “terrorist” who has so far killed 15 people.

The city’s famous Bourbon Street became a bloodbath after the gunman crashed his white van into revelers before opening fire in the horrific attack.

Drone footage shows an unknown man outside the home of suspect Shamsud Din Jabbar in Houston, Texas.

The man is seen raising one of his hands and turning around before raising the other.

Several SWAT officers in a military vehicle are captured pointing their weapons at the unknown man while he stands helpless with his arms above his head.

The team appears to be giving the man strict instructions to follow.

The incredible footage comes on the heels of it being revealed that the FBI did not believe the New Orleans terror suspect was working alone when cops found an ISIS flag at the scene of the rampage.

The suspect in the attack is Shamsud Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old American citizen born in Texas.

The FBI has identified the suspect as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen from Texas.

Jabbar is a US Army veteran and was wearing full body armor and armed with an assault rifle for the attack.

President Joe Biden said that in the hours before the attack, the suspect posted videos on social media in which he was inspired by ISIS and had “a desire to kill.”

He added that authorities are working “non-stop to investigate this heinous act.”

They do not believe he was solely responsible for the attack and have asked the public to report if they interacted with Jabbar recently.

Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent in charge, said, “We are aggressively investigating all leads, including those of his known associates.”

The FBI said an ISIS flag was found attached to a white tube protruding from the hitch of the rented Ford pickup truck.

Pipe bombs were found inside the car, hidden inside refrigerators and wired for remote detonation, according to a state police intelligence bulletin obtained by the AP.

Two other bombs were found in the French Quarter, one of which was a pipe bomb with nails and plastic explosives hidden inside a cooler, NOLA.com reports.

Shamsud Din Jabbar called himself “fierce” and touted military background in a video before killing ten people in the Nola terrorist attack.

The remote control that controlled two of the bombs was also found inside the suspect’s property along with two glass jars of explosives.

The FBI said the 3 a.m. attack is being investigated as an “act of terrorism” and that they are investigating Jabbar’s “associations and affiliations.”

Another flag also appeared to be attached to a pole on the back of the truck, a Ford F150 Lightning, and was covered by a jacket after the attack.

Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said the gunman drove the van down Bourbon Avenue “at a very fast pace” and was “intentional” “trying to hit as many people as he could.”

She said: “This is not just an act of terrorism. “This is evil.”

Kirkpatrick said he was able to bypass the defenses and drive down the street before opening fire with an assault rifle and shooting two police officers, who were rushed to the hospital.

He said more than 400 officers were deployed to the city last night for the festivities.

Jabbar had converted to Islam just last year and was “going crazy,” his ex-wife’s new husband said, the New York Instances reports.

The suspect also had two daughters who were left in a “mess” after the attack.

The truck apparently crashed into a small crane.

A man who witnessed the horror in the city’s popular French Quarter around 3:15 a.m. local time (9:15 GMT) said he saw an SUV “speeding up and running over people.”

The FBI is also investigating whether the suspect was shooting from the truck during the rampage.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell says the city has been hit by a “terrorist attack” and urged residents to avoid the area.

At a news conference Wednesday, Cantrell said the victims were still lying on Bourbon Street and his priority was removing the bodies.

Alethea Duncan, FBI assistant special agent in charge, said: “We are aggressively investigating all leads, including those of his known associates.”

The death toll remained at 10 for most of Wednesday, but increased to 15 after an update from New Orleans Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna.

The identities of the victims have begun to emerge following the tragedy of Nikyra Cheyenne Dedeaux named by her grieving mother.

Melissa Dedeaux said her 18-year-old daughter “was the sweetest person. I would give you anything, anything,” Nola reports.

Who was Shamsud Din Jabbar?

The man police suspect drove his car into a crowd of New Year’s Eve revelers in New Orleans was Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42.

He is believed to have killed 15 people in what authorities are investigating as a terrorist attack before police shot him dead.

More details are emerging about the US Army veteran who was born and lived in Texas.

Jabbar had a criminal record after being arrested in Katy, Texas, in 2002 for misdemeanor theft.

He was also arrested in 2005 for driving without an invalid license.

Documents seen by The US Solar confirmed that Jabbar had a real estate license from 2019 until it expired in February 2021.

In a YouTube video uploaded on May 12, 2020, Jabbar introduced himself as a team leader for the Midas Group and a property manager at Blue Meadow Properties.

He shared that he was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, but was living in Houston at the time of the video.

During his 10-year stint in the military, Jabbar said he served as a human resources specialist and IT specialist from 2007 to 2015.

He was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010.

From 2015 to 2020 he served in the Army Reserve as an IT specialist, the Army said.

Jabbar is the father of two daughters and had two previous wives.

It is unclear when his second divorce occurred, but court records show that a restraining order was granted against him in 2020.

The New York Times reported that a court document the suspect filed in August 2022 as part of divorce proceedings said he worked at accounting firm Deloitte and earned about $120,000 a year.

Police found an ISIS flag on the truck after the attack after having attached it to a pole on the truck’s trailer hitch, the FBI said.

Jabbar had converted to Islam just last year and was “going crazy,” his ex-wife’s new husband said, the New York Instances reports.

Other victims have been named as Reggie Hunter, 37, a father of two, and football player Tiger Bech, 27.

The truck is registered to a Houston man who is not Jabbar, the New York Instances reports, and has Texas plates.

Car-sharing app Turo confirmed that the truck had been rented through their site and that they are now working with the FBI.

The FBI in Houston said they are “conducting law enforcement activities” in the north of the city after the attack.

Video posted on social media showed the white truck driving with traffic before making a sharp right turn and speeding past police.

Jabbar drove onto a sidewalk to avoid a police car blocking the road, bollards and officers who were there protecting the public, Kirkpatrick said.

Some bollards were missing while being replaced before the Tremendous Bowl in February.

Kirkpatrick said: “So we had a plan, but the terrorist defeated it.”

When the truck stopped and Jabbar got out, three officers shot and killed him.

The flag on the back of the truck was covered by officials after the attack.
