The comic book genre is still very much in style, with several shared universes fighting at the box office. The DCEU as we knew it ended with Aquaman 2 (streaming with a Max subscription), and fans are keeping an eye on how the upcoming DC movies will shake things up thanks to James Gunn’s new DCU. We will get new versions of beloved characters and SupermanSean Gunn explains how his vision of Maxwell Lord differs from that of Pedro Pascal, saying “no one is going to confuse Pedro and me.” Let’s analyze it all.

What we know about Superman It’s limited, but fans are eager to see the first chapter of the new DCU, as well as the beginning of Gods and Monsters. the cast of Superman has many familiar faces, including Sean Gunn as a new version of Maxwell Lord. Pedro Pascal played that character in Wonder Woman 1984 Just a few years ago, we should not have expected similar opinions about him. During an appearance in The Kristian Harloff ShowGunn spoke about the discrepancy between the performances and offered:

I can tell you that the most obvious thing is that I am the one playing the role. It doesn’t just mean that I’m going to give a different interpretation. Your own body is the vessel for what you’re doing, so obviously… no one is going to confuse me with Pedro Pascal’s performance. So obviously we’re going to do something different. …I think James is good at directing me to the relevant source material. So, I think the whole concept of the character takes a different turn. I saw the movie and Pedro is obviously a great actor, but what he does in that movie isn’t really relevant to anything I’m doing.
