Karnataka Renewable Power Growth Restricted (KREDL) posted a net profit of Rs 135.12 crore in 2023-24 and declared a 30% dividend amounting to Rs 40.53 crore. The check of Rs 40.53 crore was presented to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by Power Minister KJ George on Thursday.
KREDL also extended financial assistance of Rs 5 million to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
“At its 106th board meeting held last October, KREDL presented its accounts for the financial year 2023-24. In the 105th board meeting held in August 2024, approval was given to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This proposal was subsequently ratified at the 28th general meeting of shareholders held in December 2024,” says a press release from the Department of Energy.
