Yesterday, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside a Trump resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, in what appears to be another act of terrorism in the US:
#RIP: The Cybertruck explosion in front of Trump Tower in Las Vegas is now being investigated as a possible ACT OF TERR0R, according to ABC Information.

Elon Musk had this to say about the explosion:
We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.
All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion. https://t.co/HRjb87YbaJ

The explosion “was not related to the vehicle itself.”
But you knew that some in the media couldn’t pass up the opportunity:
The media wants you to think there is a problem with the Cybertruck, but that’s not the case at all.

That was certainly the case with this framing of the explosion by Related Press, not unlike when the AP gave the impression that a car crashed into a crowd of people in New Orleans:
BREAKING: 10 people were killed and 30 injured after a vehicle plowed into a crowd at the New Orleans Canal and Bourbon Avenue. https://t.co/96GxxGuOK3

There go those self-driving cars again!
Next up for AP was a self-exploding Tesla Cybertruck, which decided to catch fire on its own in this fantastic headline:
One person dies when Tesla truck catches fire and explodes outside Trump’s Las Vegas resort https://t.co/XGHCV0X96E

More propaganda detected:

It’s more of the AP-style “journalism” we expect.
They simply cannot report the truth of events. They can’t just publish what happened. Not even once. https://t.co/91RXqN299m

On no planet did the Tesla truck simply “catch fire”
It was loaded with explosives and detonated.@APhas navigated the borders of NY Instances v. Sullivan for too long
This is defamation and is actionable here, even of a public figure like @elonmusk
Good luck! https://t.co/oU3ejfk18c

Community Notes threw the AP post into the shame shredder:
